Tracks of the Week

Every Sunday of every week The C.O.T. will be posting a pair of local tracks that we think you need to hear.  They may be new, they may be older, but either way they are going to be awesome!

This week we have a track from the mysterious Magic Sword along with a very "fine" track from The Dedicated Servers off of "The Finest" EP.

This week we are excited to share a demo track from newcomer Lanae Alvis, who played third to last at Art & Ale.  The track is currently untitled, but it is very impressive.  The recording was done by Nando Flores.  The second track is actually a video from Storie Grubb And The Holy Wars.  Not entirely sure what the title is (still recovering from Art & Ale), but it is also excellent.

Art & Ale Pics

Here are some photos from Art & Ale.  Stay tuned for a video or two.  Thanks to everyone who helped make it a success again.

COT in SLC

Awesome show in July down in Salt Lake in July with some of our favorite Boise bands.  Nice poster to go along with it.

NickelCreed - The Apocalypse

NickelCreed is a side project of mine from a few years back that is finally going public in honor of the worst band in the world coming to the Idaho Center.  The name was funnier back when the band Nickelcreek was actually relevant.  Much respect to anyone who can listen to the whole track all the way through.

Every Sunday of every week The C.O.T. will be posting a pair of local tracks that we think you need to hear.  They may be new, they may be older, but either way they are going to be awesome!

This week we have the opening track off of A Seasonal Disguise's recently released album "Waterfowl of Eastern Canada."  Look for A Seasonal Disguise at Art & Ale 6/16 at Payette Brewing Co.  In a addition we have one of our favorites from Atomic Mama, "Never Ending," off of their "Bodies In The Sun EP."

This week we have two tracks off of the C.O.T. Mixtape.  The first is from The Dirty Moogs, who will be releasing an EP on June 16 at the second Art & Ale (more details to come on that).  The next track is an older (and presumably inactive) side project from David Wood of TEENS.  I Sorta Love You is definitely one of our favorites off of the whole mixtape.  Enjoy.

Girl Talk Vid

We took this little video the other night at the knitting factory.  Sorry the audio sucks so bad cuz it was LOUD, but it gives you a good idea of what you're dealing with at a Girl Talk show.  You'll see the security guard tell us to stop filming at the end.  Apparently it's okay to film and take pictures with an iPhone, but not a DSLR camera without a photo pass.  Strange.
