The C.O.T Weekend Review

Alright, we are ready for our next edition of The C.O.T weekend review. I unfortunately won't be able to catch any of these great events as I will be headed to Vegas for one of my best buddies bachelor party. But just because I can't go doesn't mean you shouldn't!

Friday:

One of the best thing going on this weekend is hands down the Boise Art Museum's Art in the Park. This is always a great event for all ages. If you can't make it Friday don't worry, it will be going on down at Julia Davis Park all weekend. Come out and support over 250 artists, with around 70 coming from the fine state of ours. Also enjoy the deliciousness of over 35 food vendors. Should be a good time to come out and enjoy one of the few remaining nice weekends and take in some great work from some amazing artists. Here is a link if you want more information.

Saturday Night:

If I was going to be in town you would find me at The Reef Saturday night enjoying The Jezabels. This Australian quartet kind of reminds me of Fleetwood Mac mixed with The Arcade Fire. I know crazy combo, but it works... really well. Local favorite Finn Riggins opens up for them as well, so it is not one to miss. Tickets are only $10 and the show starts at 10pm. Be there! Here is a little taste of The Jezabels for your Llstening pleasure.
Sunday Night:

If you want to get out of the house on Sunday night, head to the The Knitting Factory and catch My Morning Jacket and Shabazz Palaces. This will probably be one of the only chances to catch My Morning Jacket at a intimate venue like this. My Morning Jacket puts on one of the best live shows and even though its a little more expensive at $38, it is well worth it. You will also be able to catch a hot upcoming band in Shabazz Palaces, which has a nice blend of a ton of different genres. Not one to miss and the show starts at 7pm with doors opening at 6pm. Here is a song from each for you to get a taste.

These are some of the highlights of the weekend. What ever you decide to do, enjoy the beautiful state we live in.
